5 League wins on the Bounce...

Romford have cememted 3rd Place with their 5 League win in a Row after beating Ipswich in a hard fought victory winning 24-21

On a crisp October Saturday afternoon romford took on Ipswich in what was a cracking afternoon of rugby .

Park kick off the game and mounted the pressure on Ipswich immediately, Ipswich with a very strong and physical side put in the hard yard at the start on the game but the park defence worked hard to absorb and mountain few attacks of there own.

Ipswich was the first to score with a miss communication and lack of desire to try a win The the ball back and a miss communication scored and converted the first try of the game .

The second try come from yet again again the park defence being some what laboured an unwilling to tackle the Ipswich winger who broke straight down the middle and passed the his fellow team mate to make score 14-0 .

This however speared Park into life and they come back with a score through quick phases and clever thinking from scrum half Barney savil to make it 14-7 .

Ipswich immediately put pressure on the park defence ,and yet again broke free with a potential try scoring opportunity full back jack Macveigh put it a tackle which the ref deemed to be high and sent him for a 10 minute break.
Park however somehow found the upper ha d and started to dominate the set piece with Karl Prestoe and Matthew holder putting the opposite number under intense pressure .

After 4 scrums In the red zone and dominance at scrum time park manages to pull the scores level at the break to go in at half time level .

The team chat at half by Head coach Jordan Wigham and assistant Paul cook seem to have put park in a better place and Immediately mounted a attack which eventually was push wide to find Ross Inwood the corner conversion just missed making score 19-14

From the restart park mounted the attack and also found themselves in the oppo 22 where the oppo spilt the ball some will say froM the consent defence pressure to make it 24 -14.

Ipswich immediately mount an attack and approach the parks red zone which was yet ago up to the challenge of the opposition. An Ipswich player was tackled lost control and full back jack macveigh reacting quickly to this kicked the ball away , only for the ref to call foul play and macveigh to be sent of.

With 32mins Togo romford had to defend and work hard . Ipswich pulled a try back with just under 20 to go .

The park defence Stood firm.and come away with a 4 point win . It’s has to be said Ipswich was a very good side and are a team that cause teams many a Trouble .

A great result for the park boys as they get back on the bus and travel to stowmarket to what plans to be a huge challenge away from home .

Yet again two youngster In the side with Tom and Tyler play very mature games , so much so Tyler receiving the man of he match award.

A difficult run into Christmas proves to be a challenge your support is greatly appreciated
