" It was with great sadness that we heard  that Maurice had passed away in the early hours of Friday morning. He had fought his year-long battle against illness with great fortitude. 

A past Club Captain, he had made a significant contribution to the club, particularly during his spell as Club Chairman, and had been accorded with the honour of Life Membership. He was, undoubtedly, one of the great characters of our club, and will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with Brenda and his family, especially Paul, at this very sad time."
