NATIONAL LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS

Following Parliament voting in favour of the Government's national lockdown proposals aimed at curbing the increase of Covid-19 cases in England, which take effect from today (Thursday 5th November) until Wednesday 2nd December, the Government has announced the cessation of all community team sports during this period. This applies to all Age Grade and Adult Rugby activities below the Rugby Championship and Premier 15s.

With effect from today, we return to Stage A on the Return to Community Rugby Road Map. This means that no competitive or formal rugby activities can be undertaken until at least Thursday 3rd December. Whilst group training sessions are banned, a maximum of two players can participate in socially distanced individual training sessions (at least two metres apart) which must be outdoors, and without sharing equipment. Please note that this should not be at the club premises, and should only be undertaken in an outdoor public place.

The clubhouse shall remain closed during this period of lockdown. It is hoped that training will be able to re-commence at the Club for senior players on Thursday 3rd December, with Mini and Youth teams to return on Sunday 6th December. Please advise your players and parents as necessary.

In the meantime, please stay safe and take care of yourselves. I hope to see you back at the club in the not too distant future.

Dai Davies,

President, RGP RFC.
