Chingford v R&GP 1st XV - 14th Feb. '15

001 - Kick off
002 - George Robertson (11) tests the Chingford defence
003 - Matt Catchpole (4) takes clean line out ball for Parkk
004 - Peter O'Brien (8) engages with the Chingford open side flanker
005 - Barney Savill (9) looks to get the Park back line moving
006 - Teddie Duke (10) moves the ball along with George and Nick Reid (15) in support
007 - Chingford's fly half and Jurassic second row look outrgaed, but the ref does not.
008 - Chingford's line out ball evade's Matt
009 - but also their own jumper
010 - and is collected by Barney for sending down the Park line
011 - Teddie looks for a scissors move with captain Stephen Barfoot (12 but wearing 22)
012 - That did not go so well as Steve collects two defenders
013 - Matt looks to spread the ball wide as Glen Kennedy (2) shows the way
014 - Unfortunately the pass misses George and flies into touch
015 - Teddie tracks his opposite number as Dwayne Lynn (7) closes in
016 - Crash - Dwayne arrives. I expect the out half noticed that but he still gets the ball away
017 - After being under a long period of pressure from Park,Chingford's full back breaks quickly form defence and spreads the ball to the left
018 - The winger collects and heads for the line
019 - He crosses the line and races for the posts
020 - Try #1 for Chingford between the posts
021 - Chingford's centre slots the conversion. Score 7 - 0
023 - Pete drives from the back of a Park scrum
024 - George on a weaving run
025 - runs into their defence
026 - Teddie looking to get the backs moving
027 - Pete on a charge and looking for support
028 - Paul Webb (13) searches for the elusive gap in the defence
029 - Teddie clears with the boot after delivery from a winning scrum
031 - Steve mounts an agressive defence with the assistance of Paul
032 - Chingford's 13 breaks through the Park defence for their second try (unconverted). Score 12 - 0
035 - Jack Pearce (6) takes clean ball at the tail of the line out
036 - Bamilele Coker (14) closes in on an attacker
037 - The player is captured
038 - Lifted bodily off the ground, perfectly legally
039 - The 12 is then collected and thrown backwards
040 - and dumped to the ground. Attack finished!
044 - George gets busy
045 - but again runs into a defender
046 - Teddie looks to get things moving on the right
047 - Steve runs decoy and Paul collects
048 - Barney recycles
050 - This time to Jeff Woods (1)
051 - Who decides the only way is forward - Bosh
053 - Paul sizes up the full back as he heads out of defence
054 - Makes a flying tackle
055 - which just fails to halt his progress. bami steps in to close down the threat
056 - Barney sets up another attack
057 - releasing George
058 - who weaves to the right
059 - heads for a gap
060 - looks to evade the 5
061 - which he does sucessfully
062 - looks for support before running into a tackle
063 -Dwayne clearly has been to ballet classes with his Chingford colleague. Very artistic
065 - Park's dominant front row of Woody, Glen and Tyler Lawrence (3). Woody is paying close attention to the ref.
066 - another scrum won as Park power forwards with the ball under control
067 - Once again Chingford miss their man in the line out
068 - and Dwayne collects
070 - a Chingford break down the right sees the 5 pass to the prop
071 - Who heads for the line
073 - which he crosses with Jack for company.
074 - unfortunaly they score try#3
076 - which is sucessfully converted - Score 19 - 0. Nice flag work. Take note Sir Keith
077 - A bad injury to Matt sees him leave the field
078 - Pete collects and drives forward
079 - Jack looks to break out with Dwayne and Ant Catchpole (5 but wearing 4)
080 - The ball is released to Dwayne
082 - Following an attacking 5 metre scrum Barney charges down the fly half's clearance kick
083 - He sucessfully blocks it
084 - then he and Dwayne decend on the defender in his in goal area
085 - and force a touch down
086 - another 5 metre scrum to Park and an offence by Chingford as the pressure builds
087 - again a 5 metre attacking scrum
088 - Park have control, with Matt;s replacement yellow armed Mitchell Noyce (17) to the fore, and Chingford are penalised a second time
089 - the third attacking scrum
090 - Barney picks up and feeds Teddie
091 - Teddie drives for the line but is tackled by three defenders
092 - He manages cleverly to slip the ball to George
093 - George heads for the line
094 - Dives
095 - crosses the line
096 - and touches down for Park's first try. Score 5 - 19. Unfortunately no conversion.
097 -
098 - The second half starts with Harry Dearman (18) replacing Glen and is immediately at the heart of the battle
099 - Another POB break
100 - Mitchell looks to spread the ball wide.
102 - George picks up an injury and is helped off the pitch by Vic.
105 - Woody looks to halt the progress of the Chingford 5
106 - The attacker is engaged
107 - A concerted Chingford attack yields their 4th try
108 - confirmed by the ref and converted. Score 26 - 5
110 - POB is at it again
111 - Dwayne and POB pressurise the fly half as the ball goes loose
120 - Mitchell uses those long arms to create a substantial barrier
121 - Then makes a fine tackle
126 - Bami gets busy and breaks one tackle
128 - and heads at the defenders
129 - who double team their tackle
130 - and pull him to the line
131 - where he is downed for a line out to Chingford
136 - Nick joins the back line in an attack
137 - releases Barney, who is supported by George's relacement, Riaan Booysen (16 but wearing 2)
138 - Barney makes good ground
139 - looks for support
140 - and sends Riaan on his way as he cuts inside
141 - But runs into the covering defence
142 - and cannot release to Barney as he is upended
143 - Park's pack looks forward to another scrum
144 - Dwayne and Ant collect and set up a drive
145 - Dwayne carries it on as he wrestles with a defender
146 - looks to offload left
147 - but is thrown to the floor
149 - Jack collects and continues the drive to the line
150 - he is tackled but sets the ball up for Barney to recycle quickly
151 - Having looked right Barney sprints left
152 - sees a gap
153 - but it closes
154 - but not beforre he has offloaed to Paul who carries on the attack
155 - and is on his way to the line
156 -only to be halted by a tug on his shirt
157 - he spins looking for support
158 - it is there in the form of Woody
159 - who charges right
160 - passes to Dwayne - surely a high tackle ref the other arm also looks uncomfortable for Dwayne.!
161 - Mitchell 10 yards out looks to keep up the pressure and looks to move the ball left
162 - but then cuts right
165 - another attacking scrum to Park is won
Barney sends a long pass to Teddie
167 - who looks to keep up the speed of the move as Bami runs decoy
168 - Nick joins the line at pace
170 - and heads for the line with support from Steve
171 - Nick releases
172 - Steve heads for the posts as the defence closes in
173 - the first tackle is avoided
174 - the run continues
175 - the next tackler is engaged
176 - and disposed of with a great hand off
177 - three yards out and the next tackler tries to halt our hero
178 - It will take a little more than a shirt pull to stop Steve from less than two yards (metric conversion tables are avalable)
179 - The second defender grabs Steve
180 - He starts his dive
181 - nearly there
182 - the line is crossed and inches to go
183 - touch down for Park's second try
184 - Confiirmed by the ref. Score 26 - 10
185 - Teddie lines up the conversion and sends it on its way
186 - it looks straight and it is. well done. Final score 26 - 12
