Luton v R&GP 1st XV 30th Nov. '13

002 - The teams (well Luton's anyway)
002X - The Park team - Welcome to new team member Matthew Worral-Clare
003 - First scrum of the afternoon
004 - Steve Barfoot (8) gets into his stride
005 - but is tumbled by the Luton defence
006 - and assumes one of his favoutite positions
007 - Centre Matt Phillips (12) moves the ball out wide
008 - Jake Jones (11) continues the move
009 - Matt Coomber (14) cuts inside and is supported by Sam Cook
010 - Steve leads another charge
011 - but is caught by the thigh.
012 - Matt is caught by the Luton defence
013 - Nice hand-off Ricky Turner (1)
014 - and great lay back Ricky
015 - Mitchell Smith (10) gets into his stride
016 - And carries out a scissors move with Dan Harnett (13) whilst Matt tries to figure out why he hasn't got the ball
017 - Dan carries on and Matt is still wondering
018 - Dan hits theline while Jake backs up.
019 - Matt switches the ball inside to a rampant Jeff Wood (3)
020 - Thats Park's scrum with the ball under control in the back row.
022 - Dan takes on the Luton mid-field
024 - Micky James (2) makes ground but is presented with a wall of defenders.
025 - Matt is tacklked but supported by Louis Stevens (9)
026 - Mitchell loks to have found a gap in the defence;
027 - But the cover gets to him
028 - Steve looks determined to make his mark on the Luton wing forward
029 - another break fronm the back of the scrum by Steve
030 - Louis tries to avoid the attenstions of a Luton forward as Matt and Ricky look on
031 - Micky looks for support
032 - Sam cuts in-field
033 - but is brought down
034 - with a nose dive
035 - Park's ancient touch judge seems to have mistaken a jumper for a flag. It is sad to see the onset of ********.
036 - Luton's wing heads for the corner rather too speedily for Park's liking.
037 - After 18 minutes of Park domination he bags the first points of the day
038 - Luton 5 - 0 Park
039 - Steve communicates a backrow move to Jonathan Smith (6)
040 - Dan is hauled down by the Luton defence but looks to set up the ruck with the assistance of Mark Jackson (7)
042 - Dan on the move again
043 - Steve on his way to his postion of choice.
044 - Great take at the front of the line out by Mark
045 - Louis takes an elbow in the nose as part of his defensive duties.
047 - The back row coverrs a Luton attack
048 - unfortunately the ball moves too fast and Luton score a try out wide. Luton 10 - 0 Park
050 - Onathon struglles to control a loose ball.
051 - Sam Cook (5 not 18) takes fine line-out ball
052 - and the Park pack drive on.
053 - A fearsome front row
054 - Dan stops a back row move
055 - Jonathan lines up a tackle
056 - Louis struglles to contain Luton forward who slips the ball inside
057 - for Luton's third try of the day.
058 - Luton 15 - 0 Park, its official. That is how the first half finished
059 - At the start of the second half Charlie Wilkinson (18) chases a loose ball after coming on in the centre. Matt moves to fly half as Mitchell goes off injured.
060 - Luton hack the ball away
061 - Matt and Sam (14) hold up another Luton attack and force the ball to ground.
062 - Substututes Paul Bradley (17 according to the team sheet) for Steve (8) and Matthew Worral-Clare (16) for Jeff (3).
063 - A penalty to Luton flies between the posts. Luton 18 - 0 Park
064 - Ross Onwood (15) drops out
066 - Matthew gets involved in his first action for Park
067 - as he supports Ross
070 - Matthew's first carry of the ball
072 - comes to grief on a Luton second row. Have another go Matthew.
076 - Sam (5) picks up and prepares for a charge from the back of a ruck
077 - he makes great distanceand the back row is in support
078 - I expect the full back may not enjoy this.
079 - Ross kicks for the line
080 - Sam rises high to take clean ball
081 - Ball secured
082 - Maul established
083 - the drive is on
084 - Micky and Paul are in the vanguard.
085 - Sam (5) adds his weight
086 - Matthew explodes from the back of the maul with ball in hand
087 - and a determined look
088 - to dive for the line
089 - and get the touchdown
090 - below the Luton defence
091 - and some unwelcome afters
092 - Ross sends the ball goalward without sucess. Luton 18 - 5 Park
093 - Sam (5) rises high to try to take a Luton line out
094 - Sam on the move again with Mark in support
095 - Ricky sets up ruck ball
096 - Park drive the maul towards the Luton line
097 - Charlie in fiull flight crosses the half way line
098 - Sam attacjks down the left wing
099 - only to be bundled in to touch a few yards short of the flag
100 - Pete O'Brien (4) on a charge up the middle suppoted by Mattand the rest of the team
101 - Pete is getting up a head of steam
102 - but feels lonely and looks for support - keep going Pete
103 - As Park attack Luton smneak in a try under the posts. Luton 25 - 5 Park
104 - Park attack down the left wing just short of the line
105 - Touch down and try to Dan. Ross nochantly drops the conversion. Final score Luton 25 - 12 Park.
