O Priorians v R&GP 1st XV 13th Dec '14

000 - Teamsheet
001 - Park with backs to the wall as Old Priorians (OP) set up a ruck on the Park line.  Artificial pitch, and fences like a prison and no bar.  Not the best rugby pitch I have ever seen
002 - Captain Stephen Barfoot (13 but wearing 21) and , fly half Storm Pearton (10) halt the OP winger.  Charlie Wilkinson (12) gets ready to lend a hand.  Max Irwin (1) also ready to join the fray.
003 - OPs attack through their swift full back.  (confused by the technicolour lines?  White is the boundary of the pitch and soccer.  Yellow is rugby and, I presume, the blue is hockey)
004 - Paul Bradley (8)charges out of defence only to be brought down as Chrlie looks on
005 - Charlie collects and looks to clear Park's lines
006 - Storm weaves through the OP forwards
007 - Charlie is tackled and looks to have lost control of the ball
008 - but recovers his grip well as  Webb (17), substitute centre, and scrum half Baranabus Savill (playing 9 but wearing 16) look to support him
010 - Barney takes on an OP centre with Max and Peter O'Brien (5) in support
011 - Scrum time - Tyler Lawrence (3) and Glen Kennedy (2) join tyler in the front row.  Ant Catchpole (4) joins Pete in the second row and Dwayne Lynn (7) and Darren Cooper (6) plays flankers.  Stephen plays No. 8 following a serius injury to Paul
012 - Barfoot hunting OP backs
014 - Ben Lawrence (11) engages with his opposite number
015 - Ant takes clean lineout ball
016 - Barney pops the ball up for Tyler
017 -  but it slips through his hands.  Woops.
018 - Pete is intent on getting huis tackle in
021 - Darren halts a second row but not before he unloads the ball
022 - Storm runs from defence
023 - passes to Charlie
024 - who gives Ben an awkward pass
025 - which he gets back under control
026 - and then applies the brakes
027 - before weaving off across the pitch
028 - with a fine run that makes many yards
029 - before OPs defence ensnares him
030 - Ant is wrestled to the ground
033 - scrum time again -
034 - Barfoot on a crash ball tests the OP defence
035 - The attack breaks down and the ball is lost.  OPs wing forward heads for the line
036 - He cuts inside
037 - then passes to the winger for an easy run in
038 - OPs winger goes in for a try despite the attentions of Ben. Score 5 - 0
040 - OPs No.5 is concerned for Dwayne.  A gentleman, unlike some other players we know.
041 - Unsuceedful conversion attempt by OP. Score 5 - 0
043 - Barney looks for the elusive gap
044 - but doesn't seem to have the password
045 - Storm looks to get the back line moving
046 - Charlie moves the ball on
047 - Storm sends a high ball to Ross Inwood (15) with  Teddie Duke  (14) outside him.
048 - Ross attempts to avoid the attentions of an OP centre as
049 - Ben caught by the tail - don't tear the shirt please
051 -Ross, Paul and Storm in close company
052 - Storm sends a long ball left
053 - It is intercepted by the OP centre
054 - TRY f#2 for OP between the posts and sucessfully converted No. 13.  Score 12 - 0
055 - Barfoot gets up a head of steam with Barney, Ross and Teddie waiting to assist.
056 - This is looking good
057 - The ball heads to Ross
058 - who continues at speed
059 - chips forward to clear the defence as the space runs out
060 - The OP full back takes the ball close to the line. As Ross and Barney overrun
061 - But tackle him towards touch
062 - Great driving maul by Park
063 - Bamilele Coker has replaced Teddie (18) on the wing
064 - Start of second half and a good drive from Park.
065 - Storm lays back the ball as the forwards charge over.
066 - Tyler gets ready for a heavy tackle
069 - Darren attempts to remove the OP No. 8's clothes
070 - Look what that nasty man has done to my shirt Mum.
071 - Tyler to the fore in a fine driving maul that heads towards the OP line
072 - The drive continues and is now only 2 or 3 metres out
073 - another metre and it keeps going
074 - Darren breaks
075 - and gets the ball close to the line.  The ref is well poitioned
076 - he looks from another angle
077 - Pete picks up and crashes over.  But is it down?
078 - What does Pete's expression mean.  Answers on a postcard to the clubhouse
079 - No score but an attacking scrum to Park
080 - Barfoot picks up and charges
081 - He is brought to his knees
082 - In the attempt he sustains a serious injury to one of those aged bones.
083 - anthoother attack on the line, this time by Bami
084 - But he is felled some metres out
085 - Ant collects and makes good ground
086 - Only to have his legs taken away 1 or 2 metres short.
087 - another attacking scrum to Park and Barfoot picks up and charges on the other side this time
088 - Crosses the line but is held up.
089 - aniother attacking scrum for Park.  Steve collects
090 - And reverts to plan A
091 - Only to be held up short once again.
092 - Another 5 metres attacking scrum.  This time Barney looks to use the backs.
093 - Charlie is on the ball
094 - Dwaynes is threatening the OP line with Bami in support
095 - only to be felled t the corner of the six yard box (sorry wrong sport)
096 - Storm takes it on.  This is a very long period of sustained attack.  Can OPs hold out?  can Park keep control?
097 - The ball is fed to Pete
098 - TRY to Park scored by Pete who crashes through the OP defence.  Sucessfully converted. Score 12 - 7.  Is the start of the Park revival?
100 - Ops look to attack.  Charlie has it under control
101 - No he doesn't.  The centre escapes
102 - The ball gets to the OP right wing
103 - Where Max, Dwayne and Ben undertake defensive duties.
104 - OP back attacks Park's forwards Glen and Tyler and a penalty is conceded
105 - PENALTY to OP sucessfully converted. Score 15 - 7
107 -Paul stretches for the tacle as Teddie prepares to act as the second line of defence.
108 - OPs swift full back looks for open spaces
109 - The OP flanker (but wearing 8) slips the clutches of  Barfoot and Paul,
110 - The OP flanker looks to round Ben
111 - he has a surprising turn of speed. Paul looks to close him off.
112 - Paul makes the tackle  but the ball is moved to the winger
113 - Who cuts inside
114 - With the No8 (wearing 5) in support.  This looks dangerous
115 - Teddie goes low and Barfoot looks to complete the stop.
116 - He is wrapped up with the ball and is about to be grounded
117 - OP's full back takes on Barney and Bami.
118 - Bang.  He is down.  Good team work
119 -  Park's captain tackles the centre and dislodges the ball
120 - And is off for the try line but is brought back.
122 - ant looks for a forward cahrge with help of Pete and Brother Matthew Catchpole (16)
123 - Barney and storm make sure of the tackle
124 - OP's speedy winger breaks down the left and crosses the line and heads for the posts.
126 - TRY to OP.  The fullback under the posts.  Sucessfully converted. Score 22 - 7
127 - The long arm of Matt halts the OP full back who is starting to look very dangerous
128 - Now he gets Storm's attention.
129 - He is stopped but can still offload
130 - Charlie chips through and looks to put pressure on the defender with the assistance of Bami
131 - Defensive duties for Ben as OP threaten again
132 - Charlie looks to close down the winger
133 - but misses the tackle. Fortunately he put a foot in touch.
134 - Clean take by try scorer Pete
135 - Where is his protection.  he goes to ground
136 - Looks like a large gap between storm and Charlie.  Will OP capitalise on it?
137 - looks like it.
138 - en looks to pick up speed in confined spaces.
139 - Despite Teddie's tackle the ball is fed wide by OP to their speedy 15
140 -Fortunately it goes straight to touch
141 - Matt looks to take out the winger
142 - OP's large second row looks to take it down the wing
143 - Rounds Bami
144 - But is coralled by Apul and bundled to touch with the help of bami
145 - Ben has found some space out wide
147 - He pins his ears back
148 -crosses the line
149 - TRY to Park.  Scored by flying wing Ben and sucessfully converted by Storem.  Score 22 - 14
150 - And keeps on sliding on the synthetic surface.
152 - Storm clears high and long
153 - The OP full back runs it back at Park
154 - TRY to OP in left hand corner.  Unconverted.  Score 27 - 14
157 - Charlie gets up a head of steam
158 - Looks to chip.
159 - but that OP 15 collects the ball again. As the match comes towards its end and the light fades rapidly.
160 - he makes a run, avoiding Charlie and Paul's tackles
161 - heads down the right wing - but Ben stqnds in his way
162 - Ben is outnumbered and OP threaten the Park line.  The ball is fed inside to the wing forward
164 - Wh heads for the line
165 - and dives
166 - TRY to OP in RH corner.  Or is it?  it looks as Darren managed to dislodge it.
167 - The ref confirms the try which is unconverted.  Score 32 - 14 and the end of the match follows shortly.  Not a great day and seriois injuries to Paul Bradley and Ross.
