

After a wet end to 2013 which lead into 2014 the pitches were finally deemed playable for a fixture with a strong turn out of 26 fairly rusty players turned out for a fixture against Chingford.
With an initial turn out of 5 players Romford lent Chingford the 8 missing players to play the first game. In a 10-5 defeat for Romford which saw Michael Courtney latch on to a Sam Slatford offload to score Romford's first try of the new year which was cancelled out by a superb rolling maul for Chingford lead by loanee Thayne Henwood allowed Chingford's captain to pull his side level. Tank then continued to disrupt Park and then stole the game away from them when he scored against us.

After ironing out the creases from the last game Romford winning 10-0 handing debuts to Jack and Connor who filled in on the wing and full back respectively and this game Chingford only required 2 players after some late arrivals.
The second game kicked off and saw yet another brace from Michael Courtney early on to give Park a 5-0 lead at half time which was backed up by a solid defence keeping the visitors at bay. A second half try from Luke Metcalf capped off a better second game display from Romford.
