Romford travelled to Enfield this morning for a match that most of us thought might be called off as the weekends weather had been so cold but it lifted just in time for the showdown at Enfield. Romford have seemed to get it right at the moment and the team have become a strong outfit with the backs and forwards linking up well and playing with some great determination. Enfield struggled with the power of the forwards they were quick to the breakdowns and played with some urgency. The ball was passed well across the backs and they were quick to punish Enfield with any gaps made available to them. The first quarter saw William, Jayden and Ben cross the line, Romford were ferocious in defense the few times Enfield got near scoring they were stopped and quickly pushed back. There was no try’s in the second quarter but four more came in the third from Shayden, Kyian, Sam and Zack. Romford came into the final quarter 7 – 0 up and were still playing as hard as they did in the first. Enfield managed to nick a consolation try which lifted their spirits slightly but Romford still pressed hard and Jayden Theron crossed the line again for his second finishing the game 8 -1. Another strong performance from the Romford boys.
