RGP 2 – Brentwood 1
Try Scorers: Brendan Burgess (2)

Romford travelled to Brentwood this morning and played in some tough conditions with the ground soaked through the mud was thick but the Romford boys did the job and credit to both teams had an outstanding game of rugby. The Romford boys started slow and although they didn’t give much away in the first quarter Brentwood used the ball well and spread it nicely across the pitch. It didn’t take long before Brentwood scored a try and Romford were going to have to up their game to keep them away from the try line. The second quarter was a great evenly matched contest of two solid teams, both were great in defense and it was very hard for either of the teams to get to far over the gain line. Strong tackles were put in from both teams and the forwards never gave up in the rucks it was end to end rugby with neither team crossing the line in the second quarter. Romford managed to break Brentwood down in the third quarter they were strong in all departments and a few cracks appeared in Brentwood s armour allowing Brendan Burgess to get on the scorecard twice, Romford were now in front and the game just became more intense from here on, both teams were giving it their all and came close to scoring more tries but it wasn’t to be. The fourth quarter was try less, but credit to all the boys it was a great game to watch. Romford continue their winning streak.
