Romford V Thurrock

Romford u16s hosted Thurrock a team we knew nothing about so we didn't know what to expect . From the first whistle Romford were straight on the attack keeping Thurrock in their own 22 and determined to keep up the pressure which eventually resulted in a try which was converted. Romford were ruthless in applying the pressure and pinned Thurrock back again with some good interplay between the forwards and backs which resulted in another try which was not converted . The Romford team have got a new found confidence in their play and continued to turn the screw which resulted in another score which was converted with the half time whistle rapidly approaching a momentary lapse in concentration allowed Thurrock to break through and score a try. The start of the second half was a bit messy which allowed Thurrock a bit of a foothold and they scored another couple of tries but Romford rallied and carried on pressuring the Thurrock line adding several scores with the final result 44-22 . Romford can be truly happy with their performance today showing grit and determination from the first whistle to the last Well done boys you deserve all the plaudits and the coaches are really proud keep it up
