Match review highlights

• A strong first half – we only conceded one try and looked in control for large periods of play.
• A great try from the kick off at the beginning of the second half from Michael Courtney whose weaving run down the wing saw him touch down in the corner.
• A try from Torez Polius who scored under the posts, this was a great team try as a period of sustained pressure from Romford in Thurrock’s 22 finally led to this breakthrough.
• Despite Thurrock being at the top of League Division 2 Romford looked strong at the end of the game and were unlucky not to score another try.
• A strong scrum which often overpowered Thurrock’s and resulted in turnovers.
• Some strong tackling and some excellent defensive rugby holding up the ball and stopping two trys being scored against us.
• An enjoyable game to watch and a positive performance – well done boys!
