It was a slow start against westcliff,
It has to be said.
But the Romford 15's side were by no means dead.
One try down with our backs to the wall,
We did not break and did not fall.
We fought back with the heart of a lion,
And a superb try by Conor O Brien.
Another try for Westcliff caught us on the hop,
But the heads of our troops just would not drop.
A tough task ahead in the opponents den,
Untill the equaliser from Oscar Brigden.
With no conversions it stayed level in score.
But the game wasnt over, and we wanted it more.
With people heading back into the bar,
In popped the winner from who else but Oscar :-)
Our lads fought hard and even shed claret.
The game was completed with a conversion from Joe Barrett.
A fine performance men,
You took all they could bring.
But you can never stop,
Untill you hear the fat lady sing.
