Stanford Suffer Sunday Roasting

On a glorious sunny day at the 'Park' Romford hosted Stanford in their 2nd friendly of the season, after last weeks hard fought win over Saracens the boys were in buoyant mood and this showed as the home side raced out of the blocks and within the opening couple of minutes full back Luca Valentini got on the end of a sweeping move to glide through the defence of open the scoring - winger Seyi Adeigbe soon got in on the act as he outpaced his opposite number for Romfords 2nd of the morning, not to be outdone the forwards were soon rumbling upfield , they then stole the lineout from 5 yrds and Gabe Milne dived over ( conv Horsman ) - Adeigbe then claimed his second after he scooped up a loose ball just inside Stanfords half and beat the oncoming defence ( conv Horsman ) - with the Home side now in control the backs were shows some great training ground moves and centre Owen Dew crashed through for No5 ( conv Horsman )
With the half coming to an end Stanford restarted but only found the arms of flanker Connor Madden on his own 10mtr line and then took off down the line and left everybody in his wake only to be ankle tapped 5 metres out but regained his balance to dive over and score a superb 6th try of the opening half ( conv Horsman )

The second half started with Stanfords pack working their way towards the Romford line only to be pushed back at every attempt, once Romford had cleared their lines it then went back to Business as usual - the opening score was a well worked try after the forwards had secured good quick ball the backs then showed how it was done and centre Henry Attridge outpaced the oppo winger to score under the post ( conv Horsman ) not to be outdone winger Adeidge then score a quick fire brace to add to his 2 in the 1st half by outpacing the entire Stanford defence and scoring both under the posts ( convs both Horsman )
The last try of the day was a complete forwards try, after several good phases moving towards the line hooker Aaron Stevens dived over from a few yards out to complete a very comprehensive victory ( conv Horsman )
