Enfield feel the Full Force of Romford

Romford 51 v 22 Enfield

Romford hosted Enfield in a friendly after 2 very tough weeks of Rugby, this enabled the whole squad to get some game time under their belts - Romford opened the scoring within the first couple of minutes of the game with the ball going wide to winger Max Mclellan scoring in the corner, this was soon followed by on the opposite wing after good play by the forwards in the middle of the park set off the backs and Alex Walters glided down the touchline to score, Enfield hit back straight away scoring in the corner, this only spurred Romford on and Walters again got on the score sheet scoring in the corner again after a lovely free flowing moving up the field, Enfield never let up with their intensity and scored again under the posts from a quickly taken penalty, Romford then when attacking played some great fluent rugby and with Centre Tyker Ford coming onto the ball at pace from outside the visitors 22 barrelled his way over under the posts, once again Romford seemed to fall asleep a bit and let Enfield run at them and again scored in the corner just before half time ( 20-17 )

The second half saw some change to personnel but no let up in the Romford attacks, after a loose kick from Enfield Henry Attridge pounced on the loose ball and stormed over past a trailing 3 defenders to touch down under the posts ( Con Fox ) , this was soon followed again by Attridge as the back line was put under immense pressure and he picked up a loose pass agin to score under the posts ( Conv Horsman ) - Romford then feel asleep for a few minutes and with Enfield camped on the Romford try line pressure eventually told and their winger scored in the corner, Romford then returned to their attacking Rugby and after the pack turned over more ball the ball was fed down the line for Mclellan to claimed his 2nd of the game in the corner, now in complete control Horsman using his delicate chip put fullback Seyi Ajeigbe through and after being held back still managed to break through and dive to score Romfords 8th try of the morning. the last try of the day was one of pure forward power as they worked their way through the middle of the pitch and up to just 3 metres away and from then scrum half Dan Fox jinked his way over to score under the posts ( conv Horsman ) to wrap up another impressive TEAM performance.
