Romford 71- 5 Brentwood
Romford hosted neighbours Brentwood in a re-arranged league games under the lights at the Fortress
Romford kicked off but Brentwood worked their way upfield with some good rucking but lost the ball when Romford counter rucked and then moved the ball down the line to winger Richard Avbunudge to run from the half way line to score under the posts - this seemed to open the floodgates as his opposite winger Lamar Douglas also got in on the act to score, with Romford having express pace all over the park as soon as they won any ball the lightening backs were set off to score at will, full back Seyi Adeigbe added a quick fire brace before Dougals added his second of the game and go into half time with a commanding 33-0 lead - the second half was even more fluent as Romford tore a ragged Brentwood apart with the forwards storming forward at every opportunity and securing good clean ball , this enabled the back to pass the ball through hands at will and Centre Owen Dew crashing over before Avbunudge stole the show with the next three tries from the wing running over / through & round defenders at will - the only forward try came from second row Dominic Chaplin storming down the wing and outpace the tiring Brentwood defence to score under the posts and the last try of the day went to the impressive Avbunudge to claim his 5th try of the evening to wrapped up a couple of important league points
8 of the 11 tries were converted by Rian Horsman from all angles
