Romford travelled to Stanford for their last re-arranged League game of the Season having already secured Promotion the boys wanted to finish off the season in style....... and by God they did..

From the off Romford ran everything from all over the Park and it wasn't to long before the forwards made inroads into the Stanford half and set the backs off for the ball to go through hands to end up with winger Alex Walters to sprint clear and open the scoring, this was soon followed up when again after good work by the forwards Rian Hormsman fed Owen Dew who then set the Lightening Bolt Lamar Douglas to score no 2 out wide - with the boys tails now up the next score was conjured up from inside their own half threw many sets of hands before the 'Bolt' Douglas took off again and outpaced the Stanford back line to score his second and Romfords 3rd - with Stanford kicking away the possession they did get it wasn't long before Romford added another with Prop Connor Madden picking up a loose ball inside the Stanford half and set off with 3 players on his back to score a great try ( Con Horman ) - with the 1st Half nearly up Hooker Aaron Stevens stole a ball against the head in a scrum and Paddy Tighe again set the backs off with some great lines of running to draw the opposition away for Douglas to score his Hat-trick before the half was up and to go into the interval 27-0 to the good
This enabled Romford to use all their subs in the second half and they also played their part in a great performance, with Horsman pulling the strings it wasn't to long before Romford scored again, centre Che James took the ball at pace from just inside the Stanford half and outpaced and out muscled them to score his 1st for the Club and Romfords 6th ( Con Horsman ) - the final say of the game and season was left to the Lightening Bolt Lamar Douglas as he glided past 3 defenders out wide and then made it under the posts for Romford 7th and final try of the game ( and season ) ( Con Horsman )
