Tries from Henwood, Olaleye and Page can't rescue Romford from defeat at Harlow.

Romford started their League campaign of with a losing start with a 48-17 loss to Harlow.

Romford made the trip to Harlow on a surprisingly warm Sunday morning, being a couple of players down Park had to reshape with different players playing unfamiliar positions. But Park were at fault for Harlow's first try when too many missed tackles allowed Harlow to open the scoring.

Park were lucky to avoid a second try when Harlow were ruled for a double movement, however Harlow's second try came almost as a carbon copy of the first with park lazy in defense Harlow touched down again which was converted to give Harlow a 12-0 lead.

Romford then seemed to give up defending all together when Harlow score 3 tries straight from kick off. After this Romford did start to attempt to get back in the game but Harlow still managed another try before the break to give them a 36-0 lead.

Romford played the second half more positively and pressed Harlow a lot more and managed 3 tries of their own via Thayne Henwood, Ade Olaleye and Ryan Page, one of which was converted by Sam Slatford. Harlow managed 2 more tries to finish the game 48-17.
