THURROCK 36 ROMFORD 5
Romford Under 13's travelled to Thurrock RFC for their latest match
The home team started strongly and immediately put pressure on the Sharks and the deadlock was broken when they crossed the try line in the fourth minute.
Thurrock with their big mobile forwards were proving a handful and they increased their lead a few minutes later
Try number three came midway through the half, again strong forward play created the space for their backs to score, this time they also converted.
The fourth score for the home team came close to half time, again they converted and the score at the interval was 24-0
Two more tries came in the second half for the hosts, one converted and the lead increased to 36-0
The Sharks played their best rugby in the last ten minutes and were rewarded when flanker Louis Ridley offloaded to number 8 Ronnie Brooks who avoided a couple of challenges and run down the line to score a good try
Final Score: Thurrock 36 Romford 5
Another lesson for the Sharks against a strong, but not overly physical Thurrock team. The boys must take on board the advice given and move on from this in their next game
