EPPING UPPER CLAPTON 27 ROMFORD 5
Romford Under 13's travelled to Epping to play Upper Clapton in their latest match
The Sharks only had 15 available players for the game and they made the worst possible start, letting their hosts run in two early tries, one converted for Upper Clapton to take a 12-0 lead
Romford came into the game a bit more during the first game but a lot of stoppages affected the flow of the game and the score remained the same at half time
The Sharks had their best spell of the game just after half time when they put Clapton under pressure and from a scrum the ball was passed out to Ronnie Brooks who made a run and offloaded to wing Brandan Farrant who raced through a couple of challenges to touchdown and bring the score back to 12-5
A couple of heavy tackles then inflamed the mood of the game and Clapton then scored a crucial, debatable try when their centre raced through from inside his own half towards the Sharks try-line, chased by Romford full back Harry Wright who made a valiant attempt to get back, so much so that the ball appeared to be dropped by the Clapton player when touching down but the referee awarded the try claiming another home player followed up to touchdown
Unfortunately after this, heads dropped and the hosts ran in two further tries to clinch the game 27-5
