Romford U13’s made the short trip to local rivals Dagenham RFC for the second time in the space of three weeks for their latest game
The Sharks started the game the brighter and an excellent move in the fifth minute saw the ball go out to wing Brandan Farrant who raced past two challenges to score under the posts. Farrant also converted
Romford continued to have good possession but the home team and their big pack of forwards started to get into the game
A good move from the home team and some poor challenges from the Sharks saw them go over the line for their first try of the morning
Romford were not deterred and some good forward play saw flanker Dylan Ellis pick up the ball on halfway and brush off two challenges to score a fine try. Dagenham 5 Romford 12
Two tries in additional time saw the hosts bounce back to take the lead at the break by 15-12
Rather than pushing for the win, the Sharks then produced a poor performance in the second half with many missed tackles and heads dropped. The big Dagenham boys punished this and ran in a further four tries to clinch the game by 35-12
