ROMFORD 71 ROCHFORD 0
Romford U13’s hosted Rochford RFC at Crow Lane, confident after two big wins against their visitors earlier in the season
The Sharks immediately started the game on the front foot and an excellent move in the second minute saw the ball go out to wing Brandan Farrant who raced through to score.
Romford continued to have all the possession and soon scored again when the ball was worked out to the opposite side of the pitch for right wing Robson Burke to finish off. Farrant converted and it was 12-0
Number 8 Ronnie Brooks picked up at the back of a scrum and drove through to score try number three and with both Farrant and Burke scoring their second tries of the game with Farrant also converting the latter, the Sharks were in total command at 29-0 after only twenty minutes
Another good Romford move saw the ball offloaded to captain Louis Ridley and he finished off and then right on half time, centre Toby McCloud dived over to score and make the half time score Romford 39 Rochford 0
The Sharks carried on in the same vain after the interval and scrum half Harrison Sykes ran through unchallenged to score Romfords eighth try of the morning
Burke completed a fine hat-trick chasing down a long punt up field from Brooks to collect and score under the posts and then fly half Kieran Philpot got in on the act to score in the corner after good work from Ross Walters. Romford 54 Rochford 0
Ridley picked the ball up and ran through for his second try and then second row Dylan Ellis joined in the scoring adding a try of his own
The final try of the day came when Brooks ran though the centre of the Rochford defence and unselfishly passed to hooker Nathan Jarvis to touchdown
Farrant completed the scoring with the conversion and the Sharks were winners by 71 points to nil
