Under 13's awake from their Slumber

What a difference a couple of weeks make, down and out after a big Essex League 2 defeat against Chingford, Romford and Gidea Parks best Under 13's team performance of this or maybe any year.
From the off the boys came out with a determination to put things right and they were not to dissapoint.
Tries from Flindell, Hayward,Cavanagh, Chapman, Connellan,Glover, and Quant saw Romford scecure a very impressive 66-10 win.Of which 12 Points coming from conversions.

The full story though, is not about who scored but the overall team performance which led by the very impressive captain Alfie Law and pack leader Luke Taylor.

It is always very nice to see the boys come off with big smile on their faces but a massive respect to the boys and Coaches and from Rochford who never gave up and were an absolute joy to talk to after the game.
A bigthankyou to both Mark and Adrian of Rochford for their true sportsmanship and hopefully a return fixture can be arranged.

For your coaches Cliff,Gibbo,Bushnell,Gary and Sam they also have a big smile on their faces today,there has not been to much to smile about so far this season,but for the coaches,players and parents it finally looks like your season has started today and it makes all the nights of training in the cold worthwhile.
