Away trip to Upper Clapton this week.

1st match Romford lost 25/10
The ground conditions and weather played a big part in both the games. The pitch already very cut up from previous day. Our boys found it hard in the first half playing against the slope, conceding 3 unanswered tries. The second half we managed to hold the ball a little longer giving us the chance to score a couple of tries ourselves

2nd match Romford lost 20/15 The second match the weather worsened, making conditions very difficult to play the type of rugby our boys are used to. Playing against the slope AGAIN we trailed 10/5 at half time. Second half our boys really worked hard to stem Upper Claptons attacks with some great turn overs and crunching tackles. The boys worked extremely hard considering the condition.

Still plenty of work to be done before this weekends home fixture against Maldon and Eton Manor.
